SPECIALIZED SERVICES
Probuca Clinic provides patients with a full range of specialized oral and maxillofacial surgery services.

Dental implants are the best option to replace missing teeth. Installed by our oral and maxillofacial surgeons, dental implants prevent bone loss, which occurs after the loss of one or more teeth. The initial implantology consultation with our surgery specialists is free.

Whatever the state of your oral health, we have solutions adapted to you. These solutions will allow you to regain the aesthetic appearance and functionality that most resemble your natural dentition.

Do you want to replace a missing tooth?
A crown mounted on a dental implant is the best solution to replace a missing tooth. There is no need to grind adjacent teeth to adhere the crown and bridge.

Do you want to replace several missing teeth?
Instead of choosing a conventional restorative technique such as partial dentures, more and more patients are choosing dental implants to replace several missing teeth.

Are you toothless? Do you wear full dentures?
Classic dentures provoke gradual bone loss in the jaw. They are also often uncomfortable or painful. Dental implants, on the other hand, are securely anchored and support your dentures in a more comfortable and permanent way. Furthermore, implants help stabilize bone tissues and protect your facial structure and appearance in the long term.

In the case of total edentulism (toothlessness) or imminent edentulism, the therapeutic All-on-4® concept may offer an appropriate solution. With this procedure, patients who meet certain key criteria can receive a fixed full-arch prothesis on the day of surgery. The All-on-4® concept is a graftless procedure and the particular tilting of the two posterior implants ensures stable and reliable anchoring.

The All-on-4® concept is a procedure that our patients really appreciate because, compared to more traditional surgical approaches, it allows us to reduce the overall time-to-teeth of the dental treatment. This therapeutic concept can be performed on both the upper and lower jaws.

Have you chosen dental implants as your solution to replace missing teeth? After a careful examination by your oral and maxillofacial surgeon, it may be determined that you will need a bone graft before implantation. From the initial planning of your case, your surgeon will make sure the area is in optimal condition for integrating and securing dental implants.

Whether they are autografts, allografts or xenografts, bone grafts are an integral part of the therapeutic continuum of dental implantology. If necessary, your treatment plan would include this regenerative phase, which maximizes the long-term success of your treatment.

Some of our patients can experience anxiety at the thought of undergoing surgery. As such, our clinic has been offering private nurse services for several years now. Under the immediate supervision of our surgery specialists, our nurse will administer intravenous sedatives to calm the patient before surgery begins. A large number of patients have expressed not even remembering their surgeries after experiencing the calming effects of the sedative.

Most people have third molars, commonly known as “wisdom teeth.” While they appear later in life than other teeth, it is recommended to have them extracted because they often cause infections, cavities, and can push against adjacent teeth.

It is typically easier to remove wisdom teeth in patients between 15 and 25 years of age. The important thing is to have them surgically removed before problems arise. This is why wisdom tooth extraction is often recommended by dentists. Our team of oral and maxillofacial surgeons will first consult with patients before the operation. For each case, they will determine if wisdom teeth should be removed or not. During this initial consultation, the steps of the surgical procedure and the potential risks will be explained in detail.

A panoramic X-ray of the mouth is a crucial step in our diagnostic process. If additional information is needed, the specialist may recommend a 3D X-ray (cone beam volumetric tomography), which can be performed at the clinic.

We have been collaborating with orthodontist colleagues for several years. Through our hospital affiliation, we are also able to provide our patients with all the services related to the planning and performance of orthognathic surgeries. Furthermore, we also frequently perform surgical exposure procedures (often of impacted canines) for orthodontic patients who show anomalies in tooth eruption.

One of the components of oral surgery is diagnosing and treating different types of pathologies. Depending on the indications, our team of specialists will be able to judge the relevance of referring cases to an oral medicine specialist. Having a multidisciplinary team is crucial to successfully treating our patients and ensuring their well-being.

Some patients may require this type of surgery before the construction of their dental prosthesis. These procedures include ablation of hyperplastic tissue, tuberoplasty, treatment of gingival epulis, and so on. These surgeries are performed under local anesthesia in a private clinic.

The maxillofacial component of our practice includes more extensive surgeries that need to be performed in hospital operation rooms. These procedures include all facial trauma surgeries but also other types of elective surgeries such as full reconstructive surgeries.
